# What You'll Need:

→ Bread

01 - 8 slices garlic Texas toast (11.25 oz box)

→ Meat and vegetables

02 - 1 pound ground beef
03 - 1 small yellow onion, diced
04 - 1 cup sliced baby bella mushrooms (optional)

→ Seasonings and sauces

05 - 1 teaspoon steak seasoning
06 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1 cup low sodium beef broth
08 - 1 packet low sodium brown gravy mix

→ Dairy

09 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella and provolone cheese blend

→ Garnish

10 - Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F according to Texas toast package instructions. Arrange 8 slices of garlic Texas toast on a baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes or as directed. Upon completion, reduce oven temperature to 375°F.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and diced onion. Cook, breaking up the beef, until no pink remains and onions are softened. Drain excess fat and return mixture to skillet.
03 - Incorporate sliced baby bella mushrooms, if using, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until tender.
04 - Stir in steak seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Sprinkle brown gravy mix over the mixture and combine thoroughly. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
05 - Remove Texas toast from oven. Using the back of a spoon, press down the center of each slice to form a shallow well. Evenly distribute the beef mixture atop each slice. Generously sprinkle shredded cheese blend over the beef. Return to oven and bake at 375°F for 5 to 7 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
06 - Remove from oven, garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - For enhanced flavor and color, sauté diced green bell pepper with onions or add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
02 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in oven or toaster oven at 350°F to re-crisp the toast.
