Tender beef brisket slow-cooked with a flavorful homemade BBQ sauce for a smoky taste.

# What You'll Need:

→ Beef

01 - 3 pounds flat end trimmed beef brisket

→ Rub

02 - 2 teaspoons chili powder
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ½ teaspoon celery seeds
05 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper

→ Sauce

06 - ½ cup ketchup
07 - ½ cup chili sauce
08 - ¼ cup packed brown sugar
09 - ½ teaspoon dry mustard
10 - 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar or distilled vinegar
11 - 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
12 - 1½ teaspoons liquid smoke

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Combine chili powder, garlic powder, celery seeds, and black pepper in a small bowl and mix well.
02 - Rub the seasoning mixture thoroughly over all surfaces of the brisket. For enhanced flavor, optionally cover and refrigerate overnight.
03 - Place the brisket in the base of a 6-quart slow cooker. In a separate bowl, stir together all sauce ingredients until well combined.
04 - Pour the sauce evenly over the brisket, cover the slow cooker, and cook on low heat for 6 to 8 hours until tender.
05 - Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and slice thinly across the grain to ensure tenderness. Optionally, drizzle with reserved cooking liquids before serving.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Cut across the grain when slicing to maximize tenderness.
02 - Refrigerate the rubbed brisket overnight for deeper flavor penetration.
