Shrimp Scampi Lemon Garlic (Printer-Friendly)

Tender shrimp cooked in lemon garlic butter sauce with white wine and pasta, ready in less than 30 minutes.

# What You'll Need:

→ Seafood

01 - 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

→ Pasta

02 - 8 ounces spaghettini

→ Sauce

03 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
04 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
05 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
07 - 1/2 cup dry white wine (such as Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio)
08 - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
09 - Salt, to taste

→ Garnish

10 - Chopped fresh parsley, for serving

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Cook spaghettini according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
02 - Lightly season shrimp with salt on both sides.
03 - Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, cooking until garlic is fragrant and lightly golden.
04 - Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook until opaque on one side, about 1-2 minutes, then flip and cook until opaque on the other side. Remove shrimp from skillet, leaving the sauce behind.
05 - Add remaining butter to the skillet and melt. Pour in white wine and allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced. Stir in fresh lemon juice and salt to taste.
06 - Return shrimp to the skillet and cook for an additional minute to heat through. Toss cooked spaghettini with shrimp and sauce until well combined.
07 - Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top and serve immediately.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Use dry white wine varieties like Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio for the classic flavor.
02 - Shrimp are cooked when they turn opaque and form a 'C' shape with inward-curving tails.
03 - Butter is essential to achieve the authentic richness; plant-based substitutes can be used for a dairy-free option.
