Creamy matcha, milk, and ice combine for a cool, refreshing beverage with balanced earthy and sweet flavors.

# What You'll Need:

→ Matcha Mixture

01 - 1 teaspoon high-quality matcha powder
02 - 60 millilitres hot water (approximately 80°C–85°C)
03 - 45 millilitres cold water

→ Assembly

04 - 180 millilitres cold whole milk, or milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy alternative)
05 - Ice cubes, as needed
06 - Sweetener to taste (simple syrup, honey, maple syrup, or granulated sugar; optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Place 1 teaspoon of matcha powder in a small bowl and sift using a fine mesh strainer to remove lumps.
02 - Add 60 millilitres of hot water to the sifted matcha. Whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk or mini whisk until fully combined and frothy.
03 - Pour in 45 millilitres of cold water and whisk again until the matcha mixture is smooth and evenly blended.
04 - Fill a tall glass approximately two-thirds full with ice cubes. Add 180 millilitres of cold milk, or substitute with preferred milk alternative.
05 - Carefully pour the prepared matcha mixture over the milk and ice. Sweeten to taste if desired; stir gently to combine and serve immediately.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - For a smoother texture, always sift matcha before whisking with water to eliminate clumps.
02 - Adjust matcha quantity for a lighter or more robust flavour profile according to preference.
03 - Use steamed milk and omit ice for a hot variation.
04 - Refrigerate prepared latte without ice for up to 3 days; shake before serving.
05 - Maintain water temperature around 80°C–85°C to preserve the delicate character of matcha.
