Homemade Salsa Easy Blender (Printer-Friendly)

Zesty, fresh salsa blended fast with tomatoes, jalapeno, lime, and cilantro—delicious for dipping or toppings.

# What You'll Need:

→ Produce

01 - 4 medium Roma tomatoes, chopped
02 - 1/2 medium white or yellow onion, chopped
03 - 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, coarsely chopped
04 - 1 whole jalapeño pepper, stemmed and seeded for mild heat, chopped (use red for more heat, green for milder)
05 - 2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped

→ Seasoning

06 - 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
07 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
08 - 1 pinch granulated sugar (optional)
09 - 1 pinch ground black pepper (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Wash all vegetables thoroughly. Chop tomatoes, onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and garlic as described.
02 - Add lime juice and half the tomatoes to the bottom of the blender to facilitate blending.
03 - Layer jalapeño, onion, garlic, cilantro, the remaining tomatoes, salt, sugar, and pepper into the blender.
04 - Pulse a few times to release tomato juices, then blend on low speed until desired texture is reached. For chunky salsa, pulse to preferred consistency.
05 - Taste for seasoning and adjust salt if necessary. Transfer salsa to a sealed container and chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours for flavor development.
06 - Stir and serve cold with tortilla chips or as a topping.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - For a milder salsa, remove all jalapeño seeds and membranes before blending. If using for meal prep, consume within 2 days for optimal freshness.
