# What You'll Need:

→ Meatballs

01 - 450 g minced beef
02 - 100 g torn crusty bread roll or breadcrumbs
03 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
04 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
05 - 1 large egg
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
08 - 1 teaspoon Italian dried herbs

→ Sauce

09 - 240 ml ketchup

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper for easy removal and minimal sticking.
02 - Combine minced beef, bread or breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs in a large mixing bowl. Mix gently until just combined to keep meatballs tender.
03 - Using damp hands, shape the mixture into balls 2.5–4 cm in diameter. Place formed meatballs evenly spaced on the prepared tray.
04 - Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, until meatballs are browned and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 70°C.
05 - While meatballs are baking, gently warm ketchup in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally until heated through.
06 - Transfer baked meatballs to a serving plate. Pour warm ketchup over the meatballs and ensure they are well coated. Serve hot as desired.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Use minced beef containing 15–20% fat for succulent and soft meatballs.
02 - Avoid overmixing meat to prevent tough texture; mix until ingredients are just incorporated.
03 - For easier shaping, moisten your hands before forming meatballs.
04 - For best results, test taste by pan-frying a small piece of mixture and adjust seasoning as needed.
05 - Allow meatballs to rest for several minutes after baking to retain juiciness.
