Crispy bacon, onions, and sautéed cabbage blend for a savory, quick skillet favorite with Southern flair.

# What You'll Need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 medium head green cabbage, chopped
02 - 1 large yellow onion, chopped
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced

→ Meat

04 - 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
05 - Reserved bacon grease from cooked bacon

→ Seasonings

06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Ground black pepper, to taste

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Fry bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp, then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Reserve bacon grease in skillet.
02 - Add chopped onion to the warm bacon grease and sauté over medium heat until softened, about 4-5 minutes.
03 - Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
04 - Reduce heat to medium-low. Add chopped cabbage to the skillet, stir well to coat with bacon fat, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage softens.
05 - Uncover and stir in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Continue to sauté for 2-3 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
06 - Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the cooked cabbage and onions. Toss gently and serve hot.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - For optimal texture, avoid overcooking the cabbage. Slightly crisp edges add flavor and contrast.
