Reduce heat to medium-low. Add chopped cabbage to the skillet, stir well to coat with bacon fat, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage softens.

Uncover and stir in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Continue to sauté for 2-3 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
