Peel carrots and slice into ½ inch thick rounds, discarding ends and peels.

Transfer sliced carrots to slow cooker. Pour melted butter over carrots and sprinkle brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika evenly. Stir until carrots are thoroughly coated.

Cover slow cooker and cook on high for 1½ to 2 hours or on low for 2½ to 3 hours until carrots are tender.

Optional: sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
