A creamy sun-dried tomato pasta cooked in one pan for fast, rich flavor and easy cleanup.

# What You'll Need:

→ Dairy and Fats

01 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
02 - 120 milliliters half and half, room temperature
03 - 30 grams cream cheese, softened (optional)
04 - 30 grams grated Parmesan cheese

→ Produce

05 - 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
06 - 85 grams sun-dried tomatoes, drained

→ Liquids

07 - 480 milliliters low sodium chicken stock or bone broth

→ Pasta

08 - 170 grams angel hair pasta

→ Seasonings

09 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
10 - ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
11 - ¼ teaspoon salt, adjust to taste
12 - ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and cook gently for 1 minute until golden and fragrant, taking care not to burn.
02 - Add chicken stock, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir to combine, then slowly pour in half and half while stirring. Increase heat to bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
03 - Place angel hair pasta into the skillet all at once and let it rest for 30 seconds. Gently push the pasta into the liquid to prevent breaking and to soften evenly.
04 - Cook pasta in the simmering sauce for approximately 5 minutes, then reduce heat to a gentle simmer. If using, add softened cream cheese and stir until fully melted and integrated. Continue stirring often until pasta is al dente and sauce has thickened to a glossy consistency.
05 - Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the pasta and stir to combine. Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed. If sauce is too thick, add a splash of chicken stock or half and half to loosen.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Room temperature dairy blends smoothly to prevent curdling.
02 - Let leftovers cool before refrigerating up to 3 days; reheat with a splash of stock or half and half to restore creaminess.
03 - Thin pasta varieties absorb sauce rapidly and cook quickly, making them ideal for this preparation.
