In a skillet or slow cooker with sauté function, brown and crumble 1 pound of ground beef over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.

Transfer browned beef to the slow cooker if not already there. Add refried beans, enchilada sauce, taco seasoning, and salsa. Stir thoroughly to combine.

Cover and cook on low setting for 4 hours to allow flavors to meld and filling to thicken.
