Crispy Golden Brown Rolls (Printer-Friendly)

Golden brown rolls packed with seasoned beef, cheddar, and fresh vegetables for a bold, crispy snack or side.

# What You'll Need:

→ Filling

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
03 - ½ cup chopped green onions
04 - ½ cup shredded carrots
05 - 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder

→ Wrappers and Oil

07 - 10 to 12 egg roll wrappers
08 - Vegetable oil for frying (neutral oil with high smoke point)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until fully browned with no pink remaining. Drain excess grease carefully.
02 - Add Cajun seasoning and garlic powder to the cooked beef, stirring well to coat evenly. Allow to cool slightly before mixing.
03 - Transfer the seasoned beef to a large mixing bowl. Add shredded cheddar, chopped green onions, and shredded carrots. Stir gently until fully combined.
04 - Place one egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface oriented as a diamond shape with a corner pointing towards you.
05 - Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of filling near the center of the wrapper, slightly closer to the bottom corner for easier wrapping.
06 - Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in both sides tightly to encase the mixture. Roll the wrapper upward to form a tight cylinder.
07 - Dab water along the top corner and press firmly to seal the wrapper securely and prevent opening during frying.
08 - Pour vegetable oil into a deep skillet or pot to approximately 2 inches depth. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) using a thermometer for accuracy.
09 - Place egg rolls carefully into hot oil in small batches to avoid sticking. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and crispy.
10 - Remove egg rolls with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve immediately with preferred dipping sauce.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Avoid overfilling wrappers to prevent bursting during frying. For extra crispness, consider double-wrapping the egg rolls. Assembled rolls can be frozen uncooked for up to three months and fried directly from frozen.
02 - Let the filling cool slightly before wrapping to ensure wrappers do not become soggy or tear during frying.
