Cream Cheese Sausage Balls (Printer-Friendly)

Fluffy sausage balls mixed with cheddar and cream cheese, baked golden and perfect for sharing any time.

# What You'll Need:

→ Dough Mixture

01 - 470 g Bisquick baking mix
02 - 450 g ground pork sausage (preferably hot variety)
03 - 225 g cream cheese, softened
04 - 200 g shredded cheddar cheese

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Line baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
02 - In the bowl of a stand mixer, blend ground pork sausage and softened cream cheese until fully incorporated. If a mixer is unavailable, mix thoroughly by hand for even distribution.
03 - Add Bisquick baking mix to the sausage mixture. Stir until ingredients are combined and form a cohesive dough.
04 - Fold shredded cheddar cheese evenly through the mixture. Ensure cheese is well distributed for uniform flavor.
05 - Using a small spring-release scoop or by hand, portion the mixture and form into 2.5 cm balls. Roll for a smooth, rounded shape if desired.
06 - Place formed balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to firm up the dough, minimizing spreading during baking.
07 - Transfer baking sheet to preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes. Sausage balls should be golden brown and firm to the touch when done.
08 - Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving as an appetizer or snack.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - For a spicier variation, add 2–3 g red pepper flakes to the mixture when blending ingredients.
02 - Cheddar cheese can be substituted or mixed with other cheeses such as Colby Jack or Pepper Jack for flavor variation.
03 - To freeze before baking, arrange formed sausage balls on a lined tray and freeze until solid, then store in freezer-safe bags.
