Fresh carrots, pineapple, raisins, and mayonnaise combine for a sweet-tangy Southern-inspired side.

# What You'll Need:

→ Salad Base

01 - 500 g carrots, peeled and freshly grated
02 - 100 g raisins
03 - 150 g pineapple tidbits in 100% juice, thoroughly drained

→ Dressing

04 - 120 g mayonnaise
05 - 25 g granulated sugar

→ Other

06 - 125 ml warm water (for soaking raisins, optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Place raisins in a bowl with warm water and allow to soak for 5 minutes until plump. Drain thoroughly and discard liquid.
02 - Peel and grate the carrots finely. Drain pineapple tidbits thoroughly to remove excess juice.
03 - In a large mixing bowl, combine grated carrots, drained pineapple tidbits, and soaked raisins.
04 - Add mayonnaise and granulated sugar to the bowl. Toss well to coat all ingredients evenly.
05 - Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until well chilled. Stir again before serving.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Soaking the raisins enhances their texture and prevents them from absorbing excess dressing.
02 - Freshly grated carrots provide optimal texture and effectively absorb the dressing.
03 - For best results, use high-quality mayonnaise with a flavor profile you enjoy.
