11 - 1 pound bow tie pasta (farfalle), uncooked
12 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

→ Garnish

13 - 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Slice smoked sausage into coins and brown in a deep sauté pan or Dutch oven with vegetable oil over medium-high heat until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
02 - Add chopped onion to the same pan and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes, then add minced garlic and cook until tender and fragrant.
03 - Pour in chicken broth, whipping cream, and undrained fire roasted tomatoes. Stir to combine and season with kosher salt, Cajun seasoning, and black pepper.
04 - Add uncooked bow tie pasta, stir gently to submerge, cover the pan, and cook over medium-high heat for 14 to 16 minutes until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
05 - Stir the browned smoked sausage back into the pasta. Remove from heat and fold in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and incorporated.
06 - Optionally sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Use a heavy-bottomed pan or Dutch oven to ensure even cooking and prevent scorching.
