Best Crock Pot Ribs (Printer-Friendly)

Tender pork ribs cooked slowly with savory spices and BBQ sauce for delicious, fall-off-the-bone results.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pork Ribs

01 - 2 to 3 pounds baby back pork ribs

→ Seasonings

02 - 2 teaspoons kosher salt
03 - 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
04 - 2 teaspoons garlic powder

→ Sauces

05 - 21-ounce bottle barbecue sauce (e.g., Sweet Baby Ray's or Kansas City Classic)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Sprinkle kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder evenly on both sides of the ribs. Rub the seasonings thoroughly into the meat.
02 - Place the ribs in the slow cooker with the meat side facing the inner wall. Adjust the ribs as needed to fit, ensuring even cooking.
03 - Pour barbecue sauce generously over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated but reserving approximately one-third cup of the sauce for serving.
04 - Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 4 to 6 hours, or until the thickest part of the ribs reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
05 - Carefully remove the ribs and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet. Baste with reserved barbecue sauce collected from the slow cooker.
06 - Set the oven broiler to high and position the ribs under it. Broil for a few minutes, watching closely, until the barbecue sauce caramelizes.
07 - Remove from the oven and slice ribs into two-rib sections for serving.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Removing the membrane (silver skin) from the back of the ribs is optional; slow cooking tenderizes it sufficiently for many to eat comfortably.
02 - Broiling the ribs is optional but recommended for creating a caramelized glaze.
