Using a thermometer, measure the thickest part of the chicken; internal temperature should read between 159°F and 161°F. If below, return chicken to air fryer and let rest in residual heat before rechecking.

Remove chicken from air fryer, transfer to a cutting board, and loosely cover with foil or plate. Let rest for 10 to 15 minutes to allow juices to redistribute and carry internal temperature to 165°F.
