02 - 2 green bell peppers, sliced
03 - 2 red bell peppers, sliced
04 - 1 yellow onion, sliced
05 - 2 tablespoons avocado oil
06 - 1 lime, juiced
07 - 1.25-ounce packet fajita seasoning

→ Chipotle Cream Sauce

08 - 1 cup sour cream
09 - 2 tablespoons chipotle sauce
10 - 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
11 - ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
12 - ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
13 - 1 lime, juiced

→ For Serving

14 - 8 flour tortillas
15 - 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (optional)
16 - 8.5-ounce packet cilantro lime rice (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Combine sour cream, chipotle sauce, sugar, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and lime juice in a bowl. Mix thoroughly, cover, and refrigerate until serving.
02 - In a large bowl, toss sliced steak, green and red bell peppers, yellow onion, avocado oil, and lime juice until evenly coated. Sprinkle fajita seasoning on top and toss again to combine. Marinate immediately or up to 1 hour for enhanced flavor.
03 - Preheat air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for 5 minutes.
04 - Place only the seasoned peppers and onions in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
05 - Top the cooked peppers and onions with the marinated steak. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes depending on desired steak doneness (5-6 minutes for medium-rare, 7-8 minutes medium, 9-10 minutes medium-well).
06 - Arrange cooked steak and vegetables on warmed flour tortillas. Garnish with chipotle cream sauce and chopped cilantro as desired. Serve alongside prepared cilantro lime rice if using.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Cut steak against the grain to maintain tenderness. Always verify meat’s internal temperature for safe cooking (USDA recommends at least 145°F for steak).
02 - Adjust fajita seasoning and toppings to personal taste. Chipotle cream sauce adds a smoky heat but can be omitted or substituted.
03 - Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
