Air Fryer Mac and Cheese Bites (Printer-Friendly)

Crunchy mac and cheese bites with creamy centers, air fried for a crispy finish without oil.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main

01 - 4 cups leftover macaroni and cheese, fully chilled
02 - 2 large eggs
03 - 2 tablespoons whole milk

→ Coating

04 - 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
05 - ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
08 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
09 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper to fit into your freezer. Using a half-inch cookie scoop, portion chilled macaroni and cheese and roll each portion into a firm ball. Arrange balls on the prepared sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
02 - In a bowl, whisk together eggs and whole milk until smooth. Set aside.
03 - Combine Panko bread crumbs, shredded Parmesan, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder in a separate bowl. Stir thoroughly to blend.
04 - Remove frozen bites from freezer. Dip each bite first into the egg wash, then coat evenly with the breading mixture. Arrange coated bites ready for air frying. Work in batches to avoid overcrowding.
05 - Lightly spray a 6-quart or larger air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. Place coated bites in the basket in a single layer, ensuring space between each. Air fry at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket gently halfway through. Optionally, spray tops with cooking spray to enhance browning.
06 - Remove bites from the air fryer and serve hot. Repeat with remaining bites in batches.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Ensure macaroni and cheese is fully chilled and firm for best shape retention during preparation.
