Air Fryer Ham Cheese Pockets (Printer-Friendly)

Quick air fryer pockets with melted cheddar jack and savory ham in soft tortillas.

# What You'll Need:

→ Tortillas

01 - 8-inch medium flour tortillas

→ Filling

02 - 120 grams diced deli ham
03 - 60 grams shredded cheddar jack cheese

→ Topping

04 - 15 grams softened unsalted butter
05 - 15 grams shredded cheddar jack cheese

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Stack tortillas on a microwave-safe plate, cover with a damp paper towel, and microwave for 20 seconds until soft and pliable to prevent tearing during folding.
02 - Chop deli ham into small pieces for even distribution inside each pocket.
03 - Place approximately 1/4 cup (about 30 grams) of shredded cheese in the center of each tortilla, add a handful of diced ham on top, then sprinkle a little extra cheese over the filling.
04 - Fold the edges of each tortilla inward, then fold in half to enclose the filling. Press edges firmly to seal completely, ensuring no gaps for cheese to leak out.
05 - Set the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and preheat for 3 minutes while assembling pockets.
06 - Brush each folded pocket with softened butter, then sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top, pressing gently so it adheres.
07 - Place pockets seam-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5 minutes at 380°F, checking halfway through to ensure even browning.
08 - Carefully remove pockets with tongs and let rest for 1 to 2 minutes to allow cheese to cool slightly before serving.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Warm tortillas before folding to prevent cracks and ensure easy handling.
02 - Brushing butter on pockets enhances crispiness and flavor.
03 - Rest pockets briefly after air frying for optimal gooey cheese texture.
